Program

WAVE 2023 takes your learning to the next level, find out how below.

Program

OneStream WAVE 2023 incorporates what we did at our inaugural conference in Las Vegas and steps it up a notch, designed to be more technical and in-depth. This year we are introducing new sessions from a pitch program we are tagging as “Fish Tank” to 1:1 Office Hours, while still having those traditional breakout sessions and keynote presentations.

Join us and make waves as you customize your own schedule based on you and your organizations needs and OneStream knowledge.

A more detailed schedule can be found on the agenda page.

Attendee Information

OneStream WAVE was designed for those who have advanced knowledge of the OneStream platform, and want to take that knowledge to a deeper level. Those attendees that have some or all of the following OneStream related skillsets will find value in OneStream WAVE:

  • Software development and language experiences (e.g., VB.net, C+, SQL, and Object-Oriented languages)
  • OneStream advanced configuration and business rules knowledge
  • Support, extend, and enhancement of OneStream user experience (e.g., Dashboard developer)
  • Configured or created non-cube solutions on the OneStream platform
  • Use of advanced OneStream capabilities such as data buffers and custom tables
  • Developed an extension of a MarketPlace solution

Breakout Sessions

Customize your learning experience and choose from a range of intermediate to advanced breakout sessions offered at WAVE. Sessions range from best practices, tips & tricks, innovative solutions and technical deep dives; designed to bring a deeper understanding of the OneStream platform. Choose from breakouts that best align with your needs and your platform experience level.

A full breakout schedule will be released in early August.

WAVE Lab

These hands-on learning labs, led by our OneStream Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), combine traditional presentation segments of technical learning content and hands-on, team-based working sessions, where participants work to solve a challenge.  The participants will have the opportunity to engage with OneStream facilitators for assistance during their working sessions. Each team will then elect a spokesperson to present their approach to solving the problem to the audience and obtain feedback and comments from the OneStream SMEs in the room. The Skillable training platform will be utilized for specific WAVE Lab sessions.

Participants must bring their own laptop, mouse, and any other accessories to use for the lab as computers will NOT be provided. Access to the lab cloud environment will be provided and access credentials will be distributed the week prior to the OneStream WAVE.

Expert Roundtables

Grab a seat and sit down with a OneStream SME for an hour-long, self-paced roundtable discussion on a topic area of your choice. We encourage you to take this opportunity to deep dive with SMEs into as many topic areas as you can and walk away a deep level of understanding of topics of your choice.

Fish Tank

This session is a Shark Tank-style solution pitch, focusing on new and innovative ideas. Following a lighthearted intro, attendees will present an idea of potential solution(s) or demo a new solution that could be featured on Solution Exchange. The goal is to come up with something that increases customer value; we base our criteria on if a solution(s):

  • Provide a variety of solution choices
  • Creates industry impact
  • Introduces new platform use cases
  • Is desired by customers
  • Is backed by the ability to deliver

After presenting their big concept, each pitch will be discussed with the panel of judges. These Judges could be technical OneStream experts, Solution Exchange representatives, company leadership or our own engaging facilitators.

We designed this experience to be an informative and engaging event, to openly discuss Solution Exchange. And who knows? You could be lined up to be sponsored by OneStream’s Commerce Team for “fast track” support onto the Solution Exchange – presented as a WAVE award.

Hack-a-thon

Enter your team into this live coding competition, our first-ever WAVE Hack-a-thon! Teams or individuals will be provided the coding challenge approximately 2 months before the WAVE conference and will be required to submit their solution deck 2-3 weeks before WAVE for the judges to review.

Demo your solution in front of a panel of judges on Hack-a-thon Day at the WAVE conference on October 2nd. Awards will be provided for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place at the closing ceremonies.

Registration for the Hack-a-thon is a separate fee, $250 per team for up to 2 people – only one team member needs to register. Once registered, you will receive additional details on the schedule for Hackathon milestones leading into WAVE.

May the best Hacker win!
